BerryDunn is pleased to announce that business valuation consultants Casey Karlsen and Cameron Scott have earned the right to use the Chartered Financial Analyst® designation through the CFA Institute.
The CFA designation is one of the most rigorous, challenging, and comprehensive credentials for finance professionals. The content of the program devotes significant attention to valuation topics important to the business owner. The CFA curriculum also provides context for how business value interacts with a business owner’s total portfolio and a common language to facilitate connection with adjacent professionals to the benefit of clients and advisory teams.
Casey, a Manager in BerryDunn’s Valuation Practice Group, and Cameron, a Senior Manager in the group, now hold a combination of credentials and degrees that demonstrate their dedication to their clients and their desire for excellence in the field. They both hold Master of Business Administration (MBA) degrees as well as Accredited Senior Appraiser (ASA) credentials through the American Society of Appraisers, which is a valuation-specific credential held by practitioners with at least 10,000 hours of valuation experience. This latest accomplishment, the CFA designation, establishes a deep core of financial knowledge grounding each of their valuation analyses.
Seth Webber, BerryDunn’s Valuation Practice Group Leader said, “Our team is comprised of an incredibly talented and diverse group of business valuation, accounting, and technology professionals. This latest accomplishment by Casey and Cameron continues to raise the bar and demonstrates our commitment to bringing deep expertise to all of our clients. I have no doubt that the knowledge they’ve gained will help our clients through their valuation challenges.” Other members of the team hold credentials with the American Society of Appraisers, the CFA Institute, and the National Association of Certified Valuators and Analysts (NACVA), as well as dedicated training on exit planning.
