BerryDunn has been named to Forbes’ annual list of America’s Best Tax and Accounting Firms for the third time. The list identifies the most recommended firms by peers in the industry including CPA firms, clients, and private industry professionals. BerryDunn, recognized for both its tax and accounting services, was one of only two firms in Maine to make the list.
In a financial climate challenged by complex tax issues and compliance risks, BerryDunn works closely with clients to develop extensive, coordinated strategies to help ensure tax compliance, limit exposure, and optimize performance.
BerryDunn’s COO of Assurance, Tax, and Advisory Services Renee Bishop said, “We are honored to be recognized and recommended by our peers as well as some of the largest organizations in the industry. This is validation that BerryDunn’s tax and accounting experts have remained trusted partners to their clients by providing the expertise, skill, and perspective that they have come to be known for.”
BerryDunn partners with clients in a holistic way, providing everything from day-to-day tax services to SOC audits, business valuation, and transaction advisory services. Whether helping a family office with innovative tax solutions and outsourced accounting, advising a financial institution on the new Current Expected Credit Loss (CECL) accounting standard, or delivering education services for home health agencies, the firm brings a high level of service and expertise to each engagement.
Sarah Belliveau, CEO of BerryDunn, said, “Knowing that this list was created based on the recommendations of our peers and clients is meaningful. Our growth in the last several years can be attributed to the relationships we build, both in our industry as experts and with our clients.”
In addition to the tax and accounting services provided by the Assurance, Tax, and Advisory Team, BerryDunn’s Consulting Team delivers management and IT consulting services. Both teams serve clients in a variety of industries, including healthcare, higher education, government, and more.
Forbes partnered with a market research company to survey tax and accounting professionals and their clients in the US and gather information about the firms they would recommend. Approximately 4,400 recommendations were considered in the final analysis.
