BerryDunn's Healthcare Leaders Gain National Influence

03.05.25

BerryDunn continues to deepen its commitment to healthcare industry leadership through active engagement at the national level. Two of the firm’s healthcare thought leaders, Olga Gross-Balzano CPA and Lindsay Doak, are elevating BerryDunn’s industry expertise and experience in ways that are benefiting clients and helping to shape America’s healthcare future.

Gross-Balzano, a Senior Manager in BerryDunn’s Healthcare Practice Group, serves on the Endorsements and Maintenance (E&M) Cost and Efficiency Partnership for Quality Care (PQM™) Committee, established by the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS).

“I work with my committee colleagues on solutions to healthcare challenges,” said Gross-Balzano, adding, “My engagement in national policy review builds a level of expertise that’s invaluable to our clients and helps to position BerryDunn as a voice in the future of healthcare.”

Gross-Balzano is also a member of the National Center for Assisted Living (NCAL) Policy and Regulatory Committee, which addresses legislative and regulatory developments that impact the assisted living community, including changes to Medicaid and other national regulatory agencies.

Also contributing to BerryDunn’s deep bench of healthcare industry leaders is Lindsay Doak, Director of Healthcare Research and Education. Doak has extensive experience working on national research and spearheaded the 2021 National Healthcare at Home Best Practices and Future Insights Study, the largest study of its kind.

“Our goal with this national study,” said Doak, “was to bring the entire industry together in a collective effort to help improve patient care across the country.”

Doak also created SupervisionMax, a nationally recognized training program designed for supervisors, managers, and directors in home health and hospice agencies. The program includes strategies for dealing with the most pressing industry hurdles, including staffing, cited as the #1 challenge by 55% of respondents in a 2025 Home Health Care News survey

Doak was instrumental in securing American Nursing Credentialing Center (ANCC) accreditation for BerryDunn’s education services for home health and hospice agency nurses.

With over four decades of combined healthcare leadership experience, Olga Gross-Balzano and Lindsay Doak exemplify BerryDunn’s dedication to serving the industry through active participation at the national level.
