BerryDunn is pleased to announce the new hire of Cameron A. Scott as a Manager in the company’s growing Valuation Services Group. Scott brings over 6 years’ experience working with family law matters, estate and gift tax planning, succession planning, shareholder disputes and litigation, business damages, transactions, and employee stock ownership plans (ESOPs). He was previously with Marcum.
BerryDunn is expanding its Valuation team to meet demand related to shifts in the economy and demographics. According to Seth Webber, Principal, "Boomer business owners are looking to retire, employee-owned companies are becoming more common, and business owners want to understand and increase the value of their businesses. We are thrilled to add Cameron Scott to the team because he brings a great analytical background, fantastic people skills, and the specific training we need to deliver even better service to our clients."
Scott also works on matters involving economic damages, including the determination of damages related to contracts, torts, infringement of intellectual property, and personal injury or wrongful termination.
Scott holds an ASA Designation, an Accredited Senior Appraiser of the Business Valuation Discipline as designated by the American Society of Appraisers. He has passed Levels I and II of the Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) Program. Scott will be based out of BerryDunn’s Portland, Maine office.
