Cameron A. Scott, a Manager in BerryDunn’s Valuation Group, recently earned the Certified Exit Planning Advisor (CEPA®) designation from the Exit Planning Institute™ after completing the Institute’s executive MBA-style program in Chicago, IL.
Scott joins an elite group of business advisors who have received this designation and are a part of the Exit Planning Institute’s international community of CEPAs. The CEPA program is the most widely accepted and endorsed professional exit planning program in the world and was specifically designed for business advisors who work with owners of privately held companies.
On receiving the CEPA designation, Scott noted “the CEPA program gives me an extra foundation of knowledge to better serve my clients, no matter what stage they’re at in the planning, valuation, or selling process. The program has prepared me to help clients see the bigger picture in life after exit, while also helping them understand the importance of taking care in the present to address details in planning for exit and valuing a business.”
Cameron works with clients to help them determine and understand their current value, identify value drivers and areas of opportunity, and put plans in place to help clients realize their value potential.
The CEPA certification program utilizes a combination of lectures, group discussions, case studies and individual exercises to introduce participants to these concepts and to reinforce skills. The program is taught by the Exit Planning Institute’s faculty of advisors, who are all sought after subject matter experts and authors.
The Exit Planning Institute™ serves as a platform for creating awareness, advisor collaboration, innovative learning, continuing education, defining methodology, research, thought leadership, and practice development. Certified Exit Planning Advisors help to identify, protect, build, harvest, and manage wealth to assist business owners and their families through an ownership transition.
