Major Themes Announced for Healthcare at Home 2021 Best Practices and Future Insights Study

06.23.21

BerryDunn has announced the major themes that will be addressed in their Healthcare at Home 2021 Best Practices and Future Insights Study. They include:

  • Home Health Best Practices: Operational, Financial, and Clinical
  • Hospice Best Practices: Operational, Financial, and Clinical
  • Technology
  • Palliative Care
  • Future Trends and Insights
  • Staffing Recruitment and Retention
  • Public Perception
  • Personal Care: State of the Industry

The major themes were identified from over 3,500 responses collected from the study’s input survey. Each theme was further analyzed by separate subcommittees made up of the study’s National Steering Committee members who worked to list specific topic areas to be addressed within each theme.

“As a steering committee member I am excited to be working alongside other industry experts to ensure that the national healthcare at home research project is a well-executed, pivotal study. This started with the theme analysis and continues with the subcommittee work identifying major topic categories and questions to address each theme,” said Tammi Leonard, BSN, MBA, Executive Vice President of Hospice and Palliative Care Operations at Interim HealthCare.

In the next phase, the Steering Committee will be designing study questions, beta testing the final survey for reliability and validity, and helping analyze and compile study results for release to the industry. The study survey is planned for release to registered participants in September.

Agencies who participate in the study will receive exclusive access to our interactive portal with detailed benchmarks and insights that can be segmented by size, outcomes, and more.

Participation includes an estimated 2-hour commitment to complete multiple surveys over a period of three months.

Study sponsors include National Association for Home Care and Hospice (NAHC), National Hospice and Palliative Care Organization (NHPCO), NAHC Forum of State Associations, LeadingAge, Home Care Association of America (HCAOA), and Council of State Home Care and Hospice Associations. The national research project is being conducted by BerryDunn with data and technology sponsors HealthPivots and Delta Health Technologies.
