Cheryl is the Director of Clinical Documentation Improvement at BerryDunn, where she manages a team of coding and auditing specialists. She has been in the healthcare field for over 30 years, with extensive experience working in physician private practice, facilities, and insurance carriers. Her focus is clinical documentation auditing, training of coders and billers, and physician education on accurate coding and documentation.
Cheryl’s past experience includes working as a Clinical Coordinator for the Connecticut State Medical Society-IPA. While there, she was responsible for quality initiatives, the integrity of the IPA utilization management database, analysis of network practitioner data in support of quality measures, and the enhancement of utilization management programs through code-specific data analysis.
