Kristen is a Senior Consultant in the firm’s State Government Practice Group. Specializing in state and local public health, Kristen brings decades of experience in governmental leadership in the field of health and human services. She has extensive experience in community health, health policy, needs assessments, strategic planning, public health accreditation, community approaches to homelessness, and workforce development. Kristen brings a collective impact approach to her work, bringing government and community organizations together to address complex public health issues.
Prior to joining BerryDunn, Kristen worked for the City of Portland, Maine, where she most recently served as the Director of Health and Human Services. In this role, she oversaw the public health department, two emergency shelters, a long-term care facility, and an office of elder affairs, and served as staff liaison to the City Council’s Health & Human Services and Public Safety committee.
