The Women to Watch Award acknowledges outstanding women in the accounting profession.
BerryDunn, a full-service assurance, tax, and consulting firm, is pleased to announce that Principal Kathy Parker has been awarded a Woman to Watch Award for experienced leaders from the Massachusetts Society of CPAs. The award celebrates women who have made outstanding contributions to the accounting profession, their communities, and their firms.
Based in BerryDunn's Boston office, Parker is a Principal and leads the Outsourced Accounting Practice Group, a team providing high-touch, high-tech, back-office services for family offices and emerging and established companies. She leads an expert team of accounting professionals that works to identify efficiencies and streamline performance for clients in a variety of industries.
Parker's widespread recognition as a dynamic public speaker and presenter has propelled her to the forefront of the profession, earning her speaking engagements at conferences nationwide. “I am honored to be recognized by MassCPAs,” Parker said. “As my colleagues know, from a very early age, I was passionate about the accounting profession and knew that it was the direction I would follow. Now, 24 years in, it is an incredible honor to help raise the visibility of the profession for young women who are considering the same path.”
Parker is actively involved in the accounting community and regularly contributes to MassCPAs’ publications. Recently, she weighed in on the role artificial intelligence could have on the future of the accounting profession in MassCPAs’ SumNews. “Kathy is a force,” said BerryDunn Principal Dave Erb. He continued, “Since joining the firm in 2019, she has become a well-respected leader, was elected to our board of directors, and grown her practice group through her entrepreneurial spirit.”
