Alec is a Manager in the firm's State and Local Government Practice Groups. He is a former practicing attorney and Clerk of Court for the US Bankruptcy Court for the District of Maine, where he managed an annual multimillion-dollar budget including all operational, technological, and administrative functions. In his role as clerk, Alec developed and wrote a new employee manual, managed the implementation of two case management systems and the transition from numerous on-premise to cloud-based work applications, including a VOIP solution, and many additional projects.
As a consultant, Alec has worked with state, county, and local courts and prosecutors to assess and redesign operations to be more efficient, whether through business process review or technology planning. He specializes in process improvement, strategic thinking, and systems integration.
