A Senior Manager in BerryDunn’s Healthcare Practice Group, Lana is focused on providing leadership to healthcare clients needing strong management and critical thinking in their accounting and finance departments. Her eleven years in public accounting included both auditor and tax manager roles. Lana also held a Vice President of Finance position at a not-for-profit for ten years where she was responsible not only for the financial operations and controls but also leading the budget planning and oversight of investments and reserves.
Lana has over seven years experience in the healthcare industry, as a hospital controller and the lead administrator at a physician practice with several outpatient facilities. She enjoyed utilizing her analytical skills in the valuation of the hospital’s patient receivables and interpreting financial results based on operational metrics. She aided in the mergers of both these organizations, which included system conversions and restructuring of personnel positions. Lana believes that strong communication, collaboration, and team involvement are critical to success.
