As a Senior Manager in our Health Analytics Practice Group, Matt has over 15 years of experience working with federal and state government agencies within the US and globally. He provides guidance to clients on healthcare financing policies that equitably and efficiently expand affordable coverage. Matt synthesizes best practices and distills complex, quantitative evidence in ways that help clients make strategic decisions around provider payment systems and health insurance markets. He also leads analytic teams to evaluate and forecast the effect of such decisions on insurance coverage and spending.
In Matt’s previous roles he conducted independent evaluations of Medicare (CMS/CMMI) payment demonstrations, led cost-benchmarking analyses for independent state agencies, and evaluated state Medicaid managed care programs. He also managed a team that supported governments across Asia in their pursuit of universal health coverage, largely by designing national health insurance agencies and reforming provider payment systems.
