Bill is a Principal in BerryDunn’s Employee Benefits Tax Group, dividing his time between selection, design, administration, and correction of qualified retirement plans, 403(b) plans, and nonqualified deferred compensation plans. Bill has a thorough understanding of the IRS and DOL correction programs, has represented clients in related examinations, and has helped many organizations identify and correct operational errors related to the administration of employee benefit plans. Bill also provides consulting services related to various types of welfare benefit and flexible benefit plans.
Bill has extensive experience working with for-profit and not-for-profit organizations to help them understand the intricacies of retirement plan selection, design, monitoring and problem resolution. Prior to joining BerryDunn, Bill managed the Portland office of a regional third-party administrator and worked as the auditor for the Municipal Pension Department of the State of Pennsylvania. He is a speaker and writer on employee benefits issues.
