Matthew joined the firm in 2013 after working in Deloitte’s National Federal Tax Services group in North Carolina. Prior to attending law school and commencing his career in public accounting, Matthew worked as a pastry chef in Miami, Florida, and the south of France. Matthew is a Principal in BerryDunn’s Tax Consulting and Compliance Practice Group and leads the firm's Renewable Energy and Natural Resources group. He provides tax consulting and compliance services to business and individual tax clients, and has deep experience serving clients in renewable energy, healthcare, and senior living industries. He specializes in federal, state, local, and international taxation as well as accounting and reporting under Accounting Standards Codification (ASC) 740, Income Taxes.
