AccountingTODAY has again ranked BerryDunn number one in the New England region for 2021.
The AccountingTODAY report, which provides an annual snapshot of the accounting industry, reported that the firm had revenue growth of 18% over last year, moving it into the top 50 of their annual Top 100 list for the first time.
Focus on people, client service, and strategic planning
Sarah Belliveau, President and CEO, noted that the ranking is proof positive the firm is focusing on the right things. “This recognition serves as confirmation that the firm’s approach is working well. We continue to invest in our people and focus on client service and strategic planning. Those are at the core of what drives our growth, and as we continue to do these three things well, the rest takes care of itself.” BerryDunn’s COO of Consulting, Chad Snow, added, “The firm’s ongoing commitment to high-quality client service continues to strengthen our position as the preferred partner for our clients.”
Inclusive culture and responsive management
Another focus of the firm is to support employees in driving the firm’s culture. Snow explains, “We look to team members to help us continuously improve the company, whether that is in improving work-life harmony, creating new and unique benefits, or developing new services that help our clients do extraordinary things. Our culture remains one of our greatest assets, and by continually listening to our people we are able to maintain an environment that not only inspires them to come to work every day, but also makes us a destination for other highly skilled professionals.”
Also of note is that BerryDunn is one of only nine firms on the Top 100 list with a female CEO or Managing Principal.
As BerryDunn continues to adapt to economic challenges, the firm will focus on different areas for continued success. New and expanded services such as outsourced accounting, healthcare compliance and credentialing, and park, recreation, and library consulting will help meet client needs, while strategic mergers with like-minded firms and organic growth from client referrals will all continue to support the firm.
